27th March , when the whole world bowed to a King

India faced Australia in do & die encounter in 2016 WT20 where winner moves to a Semi’s and looser was supposed to be eliminated. Winning the toss Australian Skipper Steve Smith opted to bat first , Australian gets a flying start with Warner and Khawaja added 5o run in just 4 over. Apart from this opening partnership none of the australian batsman made any impact and this was due to disciplinary bowling from Nehra and Yuvraj Singh. Thanks to Peter Nevil 10 (2)* Australia manages to get 160 which was around par on that surface.

Chasing 161, Rohit Sharma and Dhawan gave a slow start to india and then soon both the opener was dismissed in Quick succession. Virat Kohli comes in after the wicket of Dhawan but wicket was crumbling from other end. India was soon 49/3 (7.4 overs). Required rate was increasing and Yuvi was struggling that all mounted huge pressure on Indian Vice captain but the player of this caliber knows how to respond to the pressure. Kohli started slowly. Yuvraj departs at the last ball of 14th over and India score was 94/4 which mean India need 67 from 36 balls and Kohli was batting at 35(30).

Now Kohli starts acclerating his Inning , pitch was diffcult to bat and Australian bowlers made it even more difficult for India. India needed 39 from last 3 over . Now the chase master started his game . Faulkner comes to ball 18th over , 18.2th over Faulkner bowls a wide yorker but kohli dig it out and opens the face of the bat and plays an incredible square drive that beats the diving fielder in the deep. In 18.3 over he played one of the most difficult looking shot for a 6, lofting a short lenth ball over extra cover is not everyone cup of tea. Kohli added 19th run in that over which means India needed 20 of 12 balls. In 19th over Kohli smashed NCN for 4 boundaries in an over and made game done and dusted. This was batting of high caliber where opposition player clearly accepted that they lost to one man called Virat Kohli.

Almost every cricketing star praises Virat for his incredible knock , some of the tweets are as:
